With this event, we celebrate the opportunities that Title IX has created for women and girls during this milestone 45th anniversary.

When Title IX became law in June 1972, it mandated inclusive educational opportunities for all. Since then, Title IX has opened the door for women and girls to compete in sports, building confidence and enhancing physical fitness. Title IX also acts as a deterrent, as athletes are less likely to use drugs, get pregnant as teenagers, or become obese. It provides protection from and support following sexual assault/violence on campuses. In addition, Title IX has afforded access to stem education, and greater access to college scholarships. Title IX has helped launch successful careers and has inspired women and girls to lead.

The Women’s Fund is a granting entity that couples proceeds from an endowment with annual gifts from the community to make grants, provide scholarships and convene the community to advance equity for women and girls.
