Our annual reviews offer a meaningful reflection on the impact we’ve made together. Within these pages, you’ll find not just a recap of the year, but a glimpse into the legacy of the Women’s Fund. Established under the Greater Milwaukee Foundation in 1986, we took a bold step forward in 2006, becoming an independent 501(c)(3) organization. Today, we honor our history while remaining focused on the future—one where equity for women is not just an aspiration, but a reality.
For nearly 40 years, the Women’s Fund of Greater Milwaukee has been at the forefront of the women’s movement locally—mobilizing philanthropy, challenging the status quo, and fostering unity for gender equity.
We are committed to protecting rights, removing obstacles, and creating ripples of change that uplift women, their families, and our community.
Through advocacy work, relevant programming, grantmaking, and scholarship awards, we are shaping a future where every woman has the opportunity to thrive. This work is both systemic and deeply personal. Advancing gender equity requires self-reflection, bold action, and a collective commitment to lasting change.

In 2023 we relaunched our brand.
For nearly four decades, we have been advancing equity for women by providing scholarship dollars, making grants, and convening community around important issues that impact women.
Today, we have incredible resolve to mobilize and foster unity. In an effort to strengthen interest and expand our impact, we revealed a new logo, refreshed colors, and messaging that resonated more authentically.
The journey started months prior through intimate conversations with several stakeholders. Then we implemented a broad community survey. We asked what you wanted our focus to be, what is most important to you as a donor, and what is missing from our work.
You answered and we incorporated your feedback into our relaunch, which was the beginning our next chapter. We hope you like what you see and that you are inspired to enhance and deepen your commitment.
