Join us for a fantastic program featuring Dr. Sonya Lyubomirsky, a leading researcher in happiness and well-being. As a distinguished professor and author Dr. Lyubomirsky explores how fostering happiness enhances personal fulfillment, drives gender equity, and strengthens communities.
“A review of a great deal of literature has revealed that happiness has numerous positive byproducts, which appear to benefit not only individuals, but families, communities, and the society at large,” said Dr. Lyubomirsky.
Research on well-being shows that happiness is a powerful force for empowerment, giving individuals the confidence and resilience to lead and thrive. When communities prioritize happiness, they create supportive environments where women can step into leadership roles and inspire progress. Rethinking traditional markers of success is essential, as women often navigate systemic challenges that impact their well-being. By addressing barriers and workplace inequities, we open the door for greater gender equity and more inclusive opportunities. Shifting the conversation around happiness and mental well-being fosters a change — one that values balance, fulfillment, and collective progress. As women become more empowered the ripple effect strengthens families, workplaces, and entire communities… creating success for all.
When women thrive communities benefit. By fostering happiness and well-being, individuals gain resilience, workplaces become more prosperous, and opportunities for women expand. Dr. Lyubomirsky provides research-backed strategies to help individuals and communities.
