Founded in 2011, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) is a public-private agency in Wisconsin designed to assist business development and innovation. WEDC works to preserve our built environment through an historic preservation tax credit program. They support woman-owned and diverse businesses with grants and micro-loans and enhance our cities by remediating brownfield sites, while also advancing the state’s cultural tourism. One example of their work is the success in attracting Bravo’s Top Chef to Wisconsin, and much more. Already this year, WEDC has deployed nearly $30 million throughout Wisconsin.
Join us to hear about the latest projects and WEDC plans, while deepening your understanding about how WEDC makes decisions, determines grants, and leverages money for the good of the Wisconsin economy.
