I joined the Women’s Fund in 2017 and have found my participation with this outstanding group of women to be profoundly moving, intellectually stimulating, and elevating. As a board director and the current grants advisory chair, I have observe the power of the organization’s activities, including numerous events that offer community enlightenment on a variety of issues. Providing grants to organizations that address women’s needs is only one of the many ways the Women’s Fund directly promotes economic stability in our community.
My six years as part of the Women’s Fund has inched closer and closer with each iteration toward a fuller understanding of the women in my community and their needs. I take great comfort in knowing that the Women’s Fund exists and will continue to through the shared efforts and philanthropy of so many generous women. If we do not help each other, we cannot succeed. I am personally inspired by the Fund’s dedication to systemic change for all women. There is no greater feeling than to see the efficacy of our mission through women’s successes in leadership, education, and achieving economic stability, thereby creating a more equitable world.
